1971

Founded as Electronic Realty Associate and revolutionized the industry by pioneering technology, becoming the first real estate network to use fax machines.

1973

Became the first national brand to offer home warranties to buyers.

1980

Introduced the ERA Sellers Security® Plan, a pioneering guaranteed home sale program.

1981

Opened first international office in Japan.

1994

Became the first company of its kind to post all listings online.

1996

Became the first national real estate company to roll out an official internet site.

1990s

Expanded globally into Europe, Asia, and other international markets.

2000s

Continued brand evolution with enhanced marketing, tools, and agent support platforms.

2015

Unveiled a modernized logo.

2017

Introduced the Powered By model to the real estate market allowing flexibility to our brokerages and their affiliated agents.

2023

Became the first national real estate brand to appoint a Hispanic president, Alex Vidal .

2025

Launched Move Up campaign giving ERA a more modern look reflecting a forward-thinking, consumer-focused approach.

2026

Acquired by Compass International Holdings ushering in a new era of growth, innovation, and opportunity for brokers and agents.

Frank joined ERA in 2010 as Head of Brand Marketing, bringing more than a decade of experience from the consumer electronics and retail industries. In his current role, Frank leads ERA's Franchise Development team, focusing on strategic growth and expansion of the brand's national network.

A 27-year industry veteran, Lee Ann draws on her real estate operational experience and brings the knowledge of how best leverage the ERA Value to best support franchisees growth goals. Leads the ERA broker servicing strategy that includes a dedicated team who work directly with franchisees to assist with onboarding, business growth, operations, and brand engagement.
